The EG Strike is an excellent kit, not only for beginners but also for seasoned builders wanting to try something new.
Great fitment and tooling by Bandai allows beginner builders to snap off parts with minimal Nub Residue from the sprue for a quick, easy build.
My Sons, aged 6 and 14 have both built one of these, the younger one with a bit of assistance from me but the entire process was relatively simple with very few issues.
I’ve built and customised a fair number of these kits and they work well for base models in almost any customisation scenario.
I highly recommend this kit, the only detracting factor being the fact that with no Polycap joints the joints WILL eventually wear out but that should not prevent anyone from picking up one, two or three of these great kits.

amazing kit for first time builders to dip their toes into the hobby and see if it is something they will enjoy, as well as for the more experienced builder, to use as a test kit for new techniques. the EG strike was the first kit i attempted scribing and painting on. This kit has surprisingly good colour separation, more so than many HGs.

Picked up this kit just over a year ago, my first ever gunpla kit. If you’re interested in the hobby and maybe on the fence of whether to try it out or not, start with this kit or any of the EG kits, it will give you, just as it did me, a good idea of the scaling of the kits, as well as the overall look and design of the kits. The EG strike took me around 30 minutes to put together, and required no additional tools, just pop the pieces off the runner and play. Now that I am a bit more learned on the hobby and the anime’s, the strike is however not that up there for me on looks. The other most standout thing other than the easiness of the kit is that of the price, it is so affordable, so even if you did not enjoy the process or the final product, it’s hard to have regrets as it didn’t put a dent in your pocket to acquire.
Would also definitely recommend to experienced builders who need a kit to practice techniques and mods, as well as experienced builders who just need a little variety or something easy and quick
